In my Culture, at weddings these are the 2 most common songs there is. Forever my lady by jodeci and all my life by K-Ci and JoJo. And I honestly can see why these songs are so common at weddings, these 2 songs are great old schooled R&B love songs with a very deep message directed to their intended lover. Both songs are songs that are on the slower side of songs so these songs would either be playing low while the bride and groom said there wedding vows or they could be used at the after party were the newly wedded would have a slow dance with each other. The song forever my lady A wonderful declaration of love, the heartfelt song has the singer professing his love for the person he is in love with and vowing to always adore and care for her. Due to its powerful emotional resonance and the singer's genuineness, the song has won the hearts of many. "Forever My Lady" is mainly a love song that expresses the intense affection that one person has for another. In this song, the singer professes his undying love for his girlfriend and pledges to stand by her side no matter what. "All My Life" was first written by K-Ci and JoJo as a tribute to their late father. JoJo stated in an interview, "Our father passed away before we made it. So we wrote this song as though he were speaking to us and informing us of his wishes for us and his love for us”. The song's meaning, however, changed as they worked on it to become a celebration of love. While K-Ci was committed to his childhood lover, JoJo was enjoying a newfound love with his then-wife. With K-Ci & JoJo pouring their hearts out on the tune, the song quickly evolved into an homage to their significant others. With lyrics that appeal to the soul and evoke emotions that many can identify with, the song "All My Life" captures the intensity and passion of genuine love. "All My Life" is more than simply a song to K-Ci & JoJo fans; it's an anthem of everlasting commitment. After listening to this songs I feel like anyone in a relationship would instantly think about their lover and can really see how these songs would be so popular at weddings. These songs both have the deep message of ever lasting love for the one you call your lover and commitment to your love no matter what. I really suggest people to listen to these songs to understand what love and marriage is all about in my culture .
These are really nice songs! I always enjoy some slow, old-school love songs. I also like the descriptive meanings and backgrounds you have on the songs. It’s interesting and cool how these connect to and are often used in weddings.
ReplyDeleteHey Von, these are some really cool songs that are being played at the weddings you have been to. Reminds me somewhat about my dads best-friends wedding I went to when I was in middle school. Was definitely super fun and had some similar music played there.
